This message is a familiar passage within the Gospels. It’s a passage where Jesus is confronting the traditions of the Pharisees. Sometimes we think of traditions as being religious trappings. However, traditions can also be defined at your customs, practice, routine, habit, principles, beliefs or ideas. You see, what’s happening In this passage is not necessarily just a debate about the Sabbath. It’s actually a conversation about ideas & beliefs beneath their traditions. Jesus is exposing the fact that what had been used as a tool by God has eventually been turned into a trap by the Pharisees. You see, Jesus doesn’t argue that the Sabbath should be removed. No!
