Our patrons voted and said they wanted to hear us talk about Kentucky State basketballer, Aminata "Amina" Seck, who was recently released from ICE's custody after spending two months imprisoned by them. Seck is a graduate student, from Senegal, and plays center on the team. She was with her team on the way to a game in New York when ICE thugs arrested her.
Seck is not the only international collegiate basketball that ICE has picked up. Mississippi Valley State's Qingfang Pang, who is from China, has been in custody since September 29.
In this Burning Thoughts, Lindsay and Jessica discuss these cases, why this is all so infuriating, asks where the universities and the NCAA are, and Jessica tells a story of soccer fans in Austin trying to do something about this in their community.
Abolish ICE!
