An old man plants some turnip seeds and takes care of them until they begin to grow. Soon the field is full of turnips. But one turnip is bigger than all of the others. It is enormous! The turnip is too big for the man to pull up by himself, so he calls on his wife for help. Soon there is an enormous chain of people and animals all trying to pull up the enormous turnip, with no luck. Only when the tiny mouse joins the chain do they manage to pull up the turnip.

A folktale that reminds us that we should value even the smallest and seemingly least important among us.
