and look to a commentary to try and find the justification for applying that promise to any nation in any age anywhere. Well, we found one that looked at a couple of verses in 2 Chronicles 6. But it's a stretch! And as is our manner, we take any reasoning and try to apply it consistently across our interpretation, and the commentary falls flat.And we barely touch the surface. If we were to try and take 2 Chronicles 6 regarding nations coming to Israel to worship and interpret that to mean that every nation can claim promises to Israel in chapter 7, we will find ourselves on shifting sand and we've essentially made Israel's place in God's plan meaningless.
