Our International Women's Day campaign continues focusing on women who empower women. Whenever the hijabi triathlete Khadijah Diggs competed, she was at the mercy of race directors as to whether her results would count. The issue? Her sports hijab.

Khadijah has fought long and hard to get race directors and senior officials to create more inclusive rules for hijabi athletes, but it's tough to fight against regulations that aren't written down. Which then begs the question... why aren't they?
