This week on Spitball Media, we're kicking off a month-long Halloween deep dive, taking a decade-by-decade trip through horror history leading up to 2000. First stop: 1980-1985, a stretch the guys argue might be the single greatest run in the genre's history — and they make a pretty convincing case for it.Jon, B Show Brian, and Shah (battling the flu but soldiering through) go year by year pulling from their own shelves of physical media, hitting genre-defining giants alongside deep-cut picks. Expect plenty of 4K/Blu-ray cover talk, debates about which remakes actually hold up, some Stephen King adaptation rabbit holes, and a lot of nostalgic detours about what it was like growing up renting these movies when horror was still considered taboo. Also in this episode: Patreon news, a new Physical Media Advocate magazine cover reveal, and Little Debbie pumpkin delights discourse. Stick around — 1985 to 1990 is coming next week.Join us live every Wednesday Night at 7:30 pm, eastern🎧 Listen to the Full Audio Podcast Friday mornings on all podcast platforms🌐 All Our Linkslinktr.ee/spitballmedia💥 Bonus Content + Exclusive Episodes: patreon.com/spitballmedia---📱 Follow Us on SocialsTwitter: @Spitball_mediaFacebook / Instagram / YouTube: @spitballmedia👥 Follow the HostsJon: @iamjondraperShah: @planet.mondo // @nuclearheatBrian: @bshowbrian
