It starts with asking… what do I even want? Isn’t it crazy that most of us don’t even know what we want. We know what our boss wants from us, what our spouse wants from us, even what our kids want from us, but we have no f*cking clue what we want for ourselves. I don’t have kids, but I can image 😮💨 In this week’s episode I had the honor of speaking with Rebecca Gage. She has such a beautiful energy and calming presence, while being a little bit spicy if you get her talking about something she’s passionate about… aka, this episode. Haha. We dive into identifying the mental blocks that we impose on ourselves, learning how to slow down our thoughts through meditation and becoming more aware of the repetitive subconscious thoughts that keep us from experiencing new things. Next time you put off meditation or journaling or whatever it is you do to quiet your mind and get centered, think about this… A calm and peaceful mind is a lot like a thermostat. It keeps your state of harmony at the perfect temp. If the thermostat in your home is set to 72 and the space gets warmer, what happens? The thermostat recognizes the shift and kicks in to maintain the harmony of the space. Your mind has the power to do the same thing. Unlocking your greatest potential is a daily practice. I personally have come to find so much joy in the process because I now know that as long as I’m reaching my greatest potential today, then tomorrow will be exponentially greater.
