We sat down and talked with Alfonso Gomez. You may remember him from Season 1 of The Contender or his career after the show which included some pretty big match ups.

I wanted to ask him about what it was like to beat Arturo Gatti or Jose Luis Castillo, or what it was like to face Canelo. I never really got the chance to ask these in this conversation. Alfonso is a guy who is spending more time looking forward and using his platform to teach rather than looking back on the glory days.
