On Episode 53, Sunny and Mayank sit with the energetic, Shanaka Jayakody.
Boy oh boy, where we do we begin with this one. We chatted about so many wonderful and nuanced topics off the fly -- and if there's one for spontaneity, it's this one.
Shanaka is an incredibly resilient and purposeful individual, who has gone through a whirlwind of experiences to make him the beautiful man that he is today.
A few years ago, Shanaka was in a very tough spot. He had come out of a long-term relationship and lost his brother to suicide, both events happening within months.
He had hit rock bottom and the road ahead was a long one.
Shanaka describes how the tragic passing of his brother forced him to reflect on the life he was leading, the values he was portraying and what his own identity meant to him. We speak life and how we're grateful to be given the opportunity to live, and if you're reading this post right now, you share this beautiful moment with us.
Shanaka believes we all have the right to wake up feeling purposeful, and inspired, knowing that by becoming our best self, we are in turn creating a better world.
