In 1995, Spike Lee released Clockers, a true crime look at early 90s Brooklyn post crack epidemic, into theaters across America three years out from the LA Riots. Clockers pulls no punches with it's depiction of police brutality, the effects of crack in inner city neighborhoods and the harsh realities of street life for black youths in the United States. Dropping on September 15th, 1995, Clockers got buried under steep competition and ended up as lines of chalk on the side of the road.
