This episode of the Blue Earth Podcast is a conversation with Ms. Ellen Cuylaerts, our Belgian friend who currently lives in Grand Cayman. Ellen is a brilliant wildlife photographer, who shoots both underwater as well as on land (and ice).
Ellen shares how a bit later in life she became interested in diving and photography, how she overcame a fear of water, what it is like to suffer from decompression sickness (the bends), and why she likes exploring and photographing in frigid water.
Ellen is the Curator of the 2020 United Nations World Oceans Day Photography Competition. We are presenting this episode as part of our partnership with The Friends of the United Nations World Oceans Day. The episode was adapted from the Future Frogmen organization's video Conversation Series.
