Katie Roseborough, my guest for this episode, is one amazing mama. Wife and mom of three and a licensed physical therapist, she completely reconfigured her work focus when her daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes (T1D) in 2020. By January of 2021 Katie was cranking out episodes of The Sugar Mama’s Podcast, designed to support moms and other caregivers raising kids with T1D. She started with topics most relevant to newly diagnosed families, creating not only insightful podcast content, but also an entertaining presence on social media and an engaged Facebook community. Listen to my conversation with Katie about what motivates her and what she’s learned from interviews with some of the nation’s leading experts in the Type 1 world. I love her view on self-care, her honesty, and her heart.
