The BLACKberry Juice Podcast

The BLACKberry Juice

Kaori Blue
Hi my name is Kaori Ariaa. For the past eighteen years, I felt as if I was going through the tribulations and adversities society has placed in my way, as a black woman, alone. It wasn’t until I began to speak out that I realized this is a common pattern in our community and that I wasn’t alone. In this podcast we will talk about the black experience and what’s it like to be black in today’s world. We will have discussions on mental health, colorism, the black influence in today’s trends and etc. My goal is to bring awareness in hopes of creating change for future generations!

The Misunderstandings Of Mental Health in the Black Community
I hope you all have your juice ready as we jump into the topic of mental health within the black community.  For the longest time we have been silent on the topic of maental health. Today is the day that we bring the conversation to our dinner tables or family group chats. I would like to give a special thank you to my father, licensed therapist, licensed, and author of Post Pandemic Depression and Anxiety and Strategies to Effectively Deal With It, Felipe Blue, for joining in with me on this conversation. Your mental health matters and shouldn't be treated as a luxury!
