Around the Bases



We go Around the Bases to review this week in Orioles Baseball:



First Base: The 2023 Schedule



Jake may have done some emoting on the internet, and offers a mostly half-hearted mea culpa. Also the schedule has some other unique quirks in store for us, next season.



Second Base: The Little League Classic



There is no better expression of the love of the game, than that of a child. Unless you count Adley Rutschman, sliding down a hill with those kids. In which case, THAT is the most perfect expression of the love of the game.



The Orioles played their first prime time game in five years, and somehow avoided messing the bed on a national stage.



Third Base: Why Not? vs. Never Say Die



Many fans have likened this year’s team to the 2012 Buckle Up Birds, however, the true comparison is really the 1989 squad. We’re not sure if we’re more uncomfortable with the fact that the Why Not? Orioles failed to make the playoffs, or that the connective tissue appears to be Dave Johnson.
