Around the Bases



We go Around the Bases to review this week in Orioles Baseball:



First Base: The Five Game Series



Jake was a BIG fan of the five-game series. Not just the Orioles’ performance against the Boston Red Sox, but moreso the concept of the five-game regular season series. Scott thinks he’s insane. Where do you fall on the five gamer?



Second Base: Are we worried about Adley?



Spoiler Alert: no.



Adley Rutschman is not having the dominating offensive performance that we expected… through his first ten MLB games. Ten. Games.



We encourage Orioles fans not to jump to conclusions while remind them that 1) there is more to the game than just the offensive side of the ball, and 2) don’t be dumb.



That, after all, is our job.



Third Base: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.



The month of May represented the best of times and the worst of times for the Baltimore Orioles. But luckily, for every 10-run loss, there seemed to be a 10-0 victory. After recording a 14-16 record for the month, the O’s were a very watchable club – and though there were the worst of times, they were matched by the best of times. And for what we expected coming in… we’ll take it.
