Leading Off

This week, Jake is joined by Matt Taylor of Roar From 34. Matt is one of our favorite people, and one of our favorite Orioles content creators. We love having him on the show (he usually stops by during Spring Training), and we’re lucky to have him present at the BEVys, but his talent can best be experienced at his blog, where he has been providing Humor, History, and Homerism since 2006. You can find Matt on Twitter @roarfrom34.

Scott is on a much-deserved vacation, and will return next week.

Around the Bases

First Base: What the trade deadline means

Thankfully, this was not a “Means” pun. Also, thankfully, Orioles fans did not need to take to the stadium with their pitch forks and torches (meaning there was no Mancini trade). Instead, the O’s put in some minor work. What does that say about the state of the rebuild? Also, is Mike Elias a dark wizard?

Second Base: A good stretch of baseball
