Around the Bases







FIRST BASE: Roster Stuff



We got Roster Stuff, y’all. The Orioles are DFAing players (both talented and not), they’re completing trades, they’re engaging in the Rule 5 Draft. This 2021 team is going to look somewhat different… with very similar results.



One of the interesting notes about the Rule 5 Draft this season is that the Orioles lost some players. We discuss the significance of this, and wonder what it says about the status of the rebuilt.



We also don’t care to learn how to pronounce the name Sceroler. Call us crazy, but we’re not convinced we’ll need to learn it.



SECOND BASE: The Ongoing Chris Davis Saga



This is just sad. All around Good Dude Chris Davis is a Bad Ballplayer. And it’s bumming us out. Some of his quotes this week were easy to let get under your skin.



This is year six of the seven-year megadeal. So… yay…
