Grief is one of the most painful human experiences and no one escapes it. But when you're a Christian, grief can feel even more complicated. Like you should have more peace. Like your faith should make it hurt less. Like something is wrong with you if you're still falling apart. In this episode, we talk about how to deal with grief without losing your faith or your honesty. Because Scripture doesn't call you to pretend. It calls you to grieve with hope. And those are very different things. We dig into what Paul means in 1 Thessalonians when he says Christians don't grieve "as others who have no hope" and why that's not a command to feel better faster. We look at Jesus weeping at Lazarus' tomb, and what that tells us about God's heart for your pain right now. And we talk through what it actually looks like to carry both grief and Christian hope at the same time.In this episode: • Why grief doesn't mean your faith has failed • The two ways to grieve and what makes the Christian way different • Why "Jesus wept" might be the most important verse for the grieving • What the resurrection of Jesus means for the loss you're carrying today • 3 practical steps for grieving with hope (not just pushing through)You don't have to be okay. But you don't have to be without hope either."Who you hope in is bigger than what you've lost."SUBSCRIBE to our channel / @binmin_org JOIN the NEWSLETTER at https://binmin.org/newsletter/SUPPORT Binmin with a tax-deductible gift HERE - https://binmin.org/donate0:00 - THE PAIN NO ONE ESCAPES0:53 - WHY GRIEF FEELS SO COMPLICATED FOR CHRISTIANS1:44 - TWO WAYS TO GRIEVE2:45 - WHAT THE RESURRECTION MEANS FOR YOUR LOSS3:40 - JESUS WEPT AND THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING5:40 - STEP 1 BE HONEST WITH GOD ABOUT YOUR PAIN6:12 - STEP 2 DON’T GRIEVE ALONE6:58 - STEP 3 THERE’S NO WRONG WAY TO GRIEVE8:09 - WHO YOU HOPE IN IS BIGGER THAN WHAT YOU’VE LOSTJOIN the NEWSLETTER.
