Today, millions of voters in states like Alaska and Maine, and in over 50 cities, including Salt Lake City, New York, and Minneapolis have chosen to use ranked-choice voting. Almost every state has a state-level organization working to bring ranked-choice voting to that state. Kit Muehlman of FairVote Washington and Guy Cammilleri of the California Ranked Choice Voting Coalition tell us about the benefits and challenges of ranked-choice voting. This is part of a monthly discussion about the threat to democracy and what people are doing about it.
