You may know Joe Russo from the very popular YouTube channel “We’re The Russos“, but did you know that Joe is also a successful author? His first book Take Risks: One Couple’s Journey to Quit Their Jobs and Hit The Open Road was published last year. This year, Joe has the second book of the series coming out which is called, Tales From the Open Road: The Adventures and Misadventures of RV Living. In both books, Joe shares the good and the bad of the journey to change their lives. Joe sits down with us to chat about why he wrote the first book, the challenges for a first time author, and what helped him get in gear and get it published. We chat about the process of the second book, what he learned from writing the first one and applied to the second, marketing strategies, tips for first-time and seasoned writers, and how to build an audience before having a finished book for sale. Joe also talks about the early years of selling it all and moving into an RV and how Kait and him started their YouTube channel.
