Most everyone is familiar with a probation officer. Hopefully, most people know them on a personal or peer level versus a “professional” level. However, if you are going to need a probation officer, you would be lucky to have someone like Yenaiv. 

Donna and Jay chat with Yenaiv Lopez regarding her role at the Veteran Treatment Court’s probation officer, the challenges she faces as a younger probation officer, how she connects with the participants in the VTC, and why she is passionate about this work.

Yenaiv’s Bio

Yenaiv has been a probation officer for the veteran's treatment court since Dec 2022; and has been a probation officer since 2019. Since becoming a probation officer, she has supervised several caseloads, ranging from a direct, bond, and now in the veteran's treatment caseload. Prior to her work as a probation officer, she worked in the office of a construction company.
