For all the DJ Dallas fans, we’ve got bad news: he won’t be on the show this week. DJ Dallas is taking a vacation and is probably having a better time than we are. Today, the venerable Antonio of 103.9 The UMP.
Segment 1: We open the show with our usual banter. We again discuss our mornings before taking a call from a school custodian preparing for schools to reopen.
Segment 2: Zach talks to us about our weekends before diving into a case of embezzlement from government coronavirus relief funds. The money was spent on, among other things, a Kia, which we found interesting.
Segment 3: Zach and Antonio talk about college football, and whether it will return. Also explored is whether college players should be able to monetize their image.
Segment 4: Zach and Antonio continue their sports talk by going through some of the best duos in football history.
Segment 5: Zach looks at several headlines. Updates on the Rayshard Brooks case, a surprising uptick in suicidal thoughts among young people, and blatant racism coming from the mouth of a mayor.
Segments 6-8: Mayoral Candidate for Athens, Alabama Russell Johnson joins us in the studio to discuss the recent mayoral debate, the reopening of Athens City Schools, his economic aspirations for the city, and the final days of the campaign. Election Day is coming up very soon; make sure you know about those on the ballot!
