In chapter one of our series we hear from Noongar-Yamatji woman Brooke Blurton who has just penned her debut memoir Big Love: Reclaiming Myself, My People, My Country.
You may remember Brooke from a little television series called The Bachelorette, where she stole the hearts of men and women alike as the first bisexual and Indigenous contestant. But as we discover in her book there is so much more to the story.
It's vulnerable and uplifting, revealing the hardship and heartbreak of a life lived with the legacy of intergenerational trauma, mental illness and poverty... but above all love.
Between The Lines is a new RTRFM podcast all about books and ideas!
Join Danielle Raffaele as she sits down with the WA writers, publishers and poets bringing local stories and perspectives to life on the page.
