In this episode of Between the Levees, I sit down with a classmate whose path I crossed over twenty years ago.  Our respective paths diverged immediately thereafter, and his life, as evidenced very clearly by this discussion, has been far different than mine since then.  He is in the Merchant Marine and is an active Reservist in the Coast Guard.
