Great podcast
Only found you the last 6 months or so. Have listened to most of your shows. Sorry to hear it end. Quite entertaining Craig. You not only provided great tidbits of knowledge but always found a way to make me smile or laugh out loud. Good luck with your future endeavors. Rick

Great Escape
Just found this podcast and have been enjoying most of the content. Between Shadow and Light goes into numerous episodes of the beloved original TZ with a deep dive analysis into themes, notable actors/directors and of course analysis of the underlying meanings related to fear and the human condition. I enjoy listening to another person who thoroughly enjoys TZ as much as I do, though there are a few things I wish would be different. The bias of his favorite episodes is pretty clear and his attitude towards his non-favorites can come off as harsh and dismissive (Mr. Beesly was not that bad!) Secondly, the language isn’t always family friendly and the way he talks about the 60’s Hollywood starlets is uncomfortable. Lastly and probably most importantly, the addition of political opinions is really too much. I come to this podcast as a way to disconnect from the everyday problems that we face and the political content really runs that for those of us who use TZ as our escape. Please keep talking TZ and all things Serling (we love him, too) but please, please, please find another place for your brain dump of fear and pain in this political society. We all want to be in another dimension, let this be it.

Really enjoy this!
As a fan of the show, I tried several other zone podcasts and this is the best of the bunch. This guy goes deep, and I really appreciate the background on the actors and the breakdown of the music. This podcast is dense, and I’ve learned so much about the show. Highly recommended for even a casual fan of the show.

Getting Better over Time
I've been listening to Craig's TZ podcast from the beginning, and will tell you that it has improved tremendously since he launched it a few years ago. He blends a good knowledge of the subject with a lot of add-ins to keep things interesting. His production quality is strong, and it is obvious that he takes a long time to put the show together. My 4-star rating is a composite rating of the totality of his output. I would have given the early shows about 2.5 stars and his recent programs about 4.5 to 5 stars. Keep up the great work, Craig!

Podcasting from a place of love
Craig clearly has a deep love for The Twilight Zone and podcasts from a place of encyclopedic knowledge and admiration for the series. UPDATE: I just wanted to update my review to say that I am really enjoying Craig's reviews of the CBS All-Access Twilight Zone series. He's obviously catching more easter eggs than the average viewer would. But his commentary on the show is insightful as ever and maybe even moreso since this new TZ series has had somewhat of a rocky start for some people.

Entertaining & Recommended
I’ve listened to Between Light & Shadow since the first episode. It’s a great podcast and a worthwhile alternative to other TZ podcasts. The episodes offer unique perspectives, interesting guests with a mix of humor and fun. This podcast also gives specific attention to the music of TZ which is something no other TZ podcast can match. The editing is very well done and the content of material is unlike any other TZ podcast. Well done, and I look forward to each show!

So enjoyable! Great addition to TZ podcasts
I recently ran across Craig’s podcast by chance and having tried a bunch of other TZ podcasts I was hesitant to even give it a listen. But with Tom Elliot now covering TZ 2019 and John and Fred so sporadic I was having withdrawal. I can’t bring myself to pay for CBS All Access just yet so I had no new TZ content without spoilers for the new show. This turned out to be a very fortune turn of events because it gave Craig’s podcasts a listen and I’m thoroughly enjoying every minute of it. Between Light and Shadow takes a different approach, comparing episodes in each podcast (or most, at least so far). Craig’s unique view in the Twilight Zone and sense of humor make it easy to stay interested, even though most of us know these episodes inside and out. His insightful thoughts, and obvious longtime love of TZ make this a great listen. I have even come to really enjoy the often cheesy staged interruptions from Craig’s family. No offense intended. Seriously, I look forward to the peanut gallery comments now. I am a huge fan of Tom Elliot’s Twilight Zone podcast and for a lighter view, The Twilight Pwn. Craig is very respectful of these podcasts as well. This fits in as a nice addition to feed my TZ addiction. Keep up the good work. You are my favorite new listen. Bob

Give this a listen if you LOVE Twilight Zone!!
Now that John and Fred are only posting shows once in a blue moon and my weekly Twilight Zone fix has been sadly ripped from my life..... I was SO excited to find Beyond Light and Shadow!!! I enjoy the tone, the jokes and his take on the show. This is so, may I say pleasant, perhaps informative, the comparisons between episodes, if I am honest is an enjoyable way to revisit episodes. (And what a treat to have Fred from the Twilight Pwn appear) please listen and rate so this podcast does not also disappear)

My favorite podcast
This is my favorite podcast, not just of the TZ, but of the podcast universe ( so far anyway). I really like ALL the details of each episode, as well as all the extra clips Craig throws in. The editing is superb. The ‘compare and contrast' feature is quite interesting. The many humorous touches are icing on the anthology cake. Keep up the great work Craig. Mike Babylon I

A Standout TZ Podcast
There’s no shortage of Twilight Zone podcasts out there, but Craig’s show separates itself from the rest with his unique style of podcasting. With sound clips and personal stories, I get a radio show / inner monologue vibe, which I really enjoy. You can tell that Craig not only loves the Twilight Zone, but he also cares about taking the time to deliver an entertaining show. Highly recommend!

For fans of the Twilight Zone
Craig has a clear and present love affair with the Twilight Zone and it is apparent throughout each and every episode of this well crafted show. Cheers to him for the effort and dedication he puts into his work!

Quirky, bizarre and better than most
A fun show hosted by one eccentric dude who seems positively enamored with Rod Serling's surreal classic (though he does take off the kid gloves when called for -- and, boy, is it called for sometimes (I'm looking at you "The Mighty Casey"). If you're searching for a lovingly made podcast teeming with goofball humor and weird digressions you're sure to be smitten with Mr. Beam's efforts here. I just hope he continues releasing installments of his winning podcast on a regular basis instead of returning to limbo for another extended visitation.

Keep going, Craig!
I love this podcast. I've been a TZ fanatic since the early 80s, just like Craig, so I already know most of the trivia, production notes, and behind the scenes stories. What I love are the analyses and insights of a fellow zoniac, and Craig delivers. I love it when someone offers a new perspective. Yes, his humor can get a little corny but I never find it annoying - at worst it's like a friend with a cheesy sense of humor that you roll your eyes at. Looking forward to the next batch!

Fantastic podcast!
Not only is this a great and entertaining podcast, but it is one of the most insightful, funny, well researched, and clever as well. An absolute must for any fan of the Twilight Zone . Can't wait for the next episode.

Great Production
Listened to a few shows and just wanted to tell you what a nice and unique format you've created. I have listened to and enjoyed other TZ podcasts and will listen to all your shows. I was a little surprised by some of the negative reviews. They seem to have a similar voice. Your insights and knowledge are obvious. Good luck and appreciation for your work. Thanks

Gone?
I only just discovered this podcast today, having heard you on another TZ podcast. Disappointing to hear that you're (possibly) calling it a day. I enjoyed the format and all the information and clips from related films and shows. I've only heard one episode so far, but I plan to listen to the rest. Hope you will return. I really love the theme music.

Love it!
Love the podcast. Have listened to every episode!!!

Just stick to the facts
Craig obviously has lots of great information about TZ, but after listening to the first few "real" episodes, his constant criticism kind of turns me off. I'm not saying he has to love every episode, but complaining and nit-picking really gets on my nerves. Also, his constant asides to his "wife" and "daughter" get old - real fast. A little humor goes a long way. I dunno, maybe things gets better with later episodes, but I doubt I will continue listening.

I'm waiting
I appreciate Craig's honesty in the trials and challenges of making the podcast. But it is getting really boring. Please get on with it. What are your plans for this. I will keep listening as I admire the effort it takes to make a podcast but I would like, really like to see him show his passion for the Twilight Zone and I wonder how it wil differ from other podcasts.
