Chef Suzanne Barr is a social justice advocate & food advocate who walks the talk in equitable pay, food security, social justice for People of Color and the LGBTQIA+ community.

She is a one of North America’s most respected chefs, a dear friend of mine, the author of My Ackee Tree: A Chef's Memoir of Finding Home in the Kitchen, and she previously owned of the popular restaurant Saturday Dinette, Head Chef/Owner at True True Diner, and was the inaugural chef-in-residence at the Gladstone Hotel.
