Honestly sounds like a decent plot but i can’t get passed the 3rd episode because of the crying dog every other minute. Holy crap it’s annoying

I’ve listened to a LOT of fiction podcasts and this one is a standout. From the scripts to directing to the actors and sound design—I enjoyed every minute of it. The story keeps you guessing and the characters are engaging. Definitely give this one a listen.

First episode is slow but a little ways through ep2 it settles into a haunting, lovely, rhythmic nightmare. Great experience

This is a great show. It’s well written with plenty of tension, has a tight narrative arc, excellent production, and the acting is very good. One reviewer complained that the show is “woke.” This is nonsense, unless two adult women in a relationship enrages you for some dumb reason. It’s really an excellent show. I came to it after finishing the White Vault and I look forward to following this writer.

If the over-caffeinated acting were taken down a few notches and the plot/writing was less predictable and over the top, I’d continue listening. I gave up after episode 5.

Interesting. Had a pretty alright draw and the characters are new but the sound design has a few issues. I really loved the sun and moon episode the most but the main story left some things to be desired

Interesting story and the voice acting is good all the way around. Sometimes the secondary actors aren’t that great but they are all good here.

I love this show!! Believer tells the story of Lara Campbell, a faux-psychic that goes looking for her ex, Rose, who has gone missing in a small town where there’s definitely something...off. This show hooked me from the excellent first ten minutes (there’s some fantastic show-not-tell work done in Lara's intro scene) and the introduction of Soda Pop, played by truly the best dog voice actor in the biz. There’s a little bit of everything for conspiracy-lovers, cryptid fans, and ghost hunters to be found here, as well as some relationship-based subplots and moments of great humor. The music is eerie and sad and spooky and feels sort of suspended in time the way the music in Lore can feel, and gives it a kinda WTNV vibe I dig so much.

Really enjoying this podcast in Beverly, MA. Also great queer representation ❤️

This is probably the newest podcast I’ve discovered since I got hooked on audio dramas, and I’m so excited that such cool content is being created, and I’ll be able to keep up with it as it releases. I like how the story elements of the “voice of god” and the cult are integrated in the show. I adore spooky podcasts, and I haven’t heard someone playing with the potential creepiness of these concepts before. Rose (and her possible disappearance?) is a fascinating mystery to ground the show, and Believer has the cutest pet/pet owner relationship I’ve ever heard on a podcast. Seriously, every time Sodapop barks, I want to hug him. The fifth episode with the Squatch Talk podcast is a great way to expand the world of Charity, OR, and I really enjoyed that creepy look into what’s happening in Charity when Laura isn’t actively investigating. I’m super excited for whatever the creators will be creating while all our lives have been disrupted by a global pandemic.

This show has so much potential and I can’t wait to see it make a full return. Your craftwork is impressive so take your time and as always take care of yourself. The writing and storytelling are so top notch.

There are a lot of supernatural-adjacent podcasts clamoring for your ears right now, but perhaps none so worthy as Believer. It delivers great production value, an instantly engaging conceit, and a blend of humor with just the right amount of creepiness.

Great cast, high production values, and very entertaining equal a worthwhile download. I am a fan.

Looking forward to future episodes as I will be wondering about this for the next week. Very immersive podcast, worth your time.
