Show notes
This episode of the BBB Podcast takes listeners on a tour of southwest Ontario, specifically to a town that was once called Berlin, and in a province that was once called Upper Canada. Changing place names seems all the rage right now, but, in fact, there's a long history associated with the practice. One could review the history of names like New York or Toronto, and find original names that were different. Look on a map today and try to locate a place called Swaziland. Editing cultural history, it seems, is an ongoing exercise by those who hold, or at least influence, the pen.
