Welcome to the first episode of 2024 on "Beating IBS." In this episode, I take you through my holiday experience, offering insights into how I navigated social commitments and changes in my schedule, and how it led to transformative shifts in managing my condition.
Recapping the holiday season, I share my journey of adapting to altered schedules, including hosting a friend and incorporating morning runs into my routine. Surprisingly, these deviations from the norm sparked a remarkable change. They provided the nudge I needed to overcome mental blocks that had previously held me back.
I open up about a significant shift in mindset—a departure from waiting for pain relief or a bowel movement before starting my day. Instead, I've embraced a newfound trust in my body's rhythm, allowing me to commence my day regardless, confident that my body will follow its natural course in due time. This shift has been liberating, freeing me from the constraints I once imposed upon myself.
Join me on this introspective journey as I share the revelations I've had and the empowerment that comes with trusting my body's innate abilities. This shift in approach to managing my IBS has brought newfound freedom, and I'm excited to explore the possibilities it holds for the upcoming year.
Tune in to "Beating IBS" as I reflect on these transformative changes and set the tone for a year focused on embracing change and newfound freedom in navigating life with IBS.
