As a senior at Millard South high school, Kyler Erickson witnessed a school shooting in January 2011. As it turned his world upside down, he struggled to find hope and purpose in such a horrific time. It took him a year and a half to finally admit to, and seek help for his Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Kyler was an Outstanding basketball player, but after the school shooting his focus changed from being a great basketball player, to becoming a person who deeply cared about others and their well-being.
