He spent nine of his 14 MLB seasons with the New York Mets, with whom he led the NL in both home runs and RBIs during the 1991 season. A switch hitter and righty thrower during his career, Howard is third on the Mets all-time lists for home runs, RBIs, doubles, and stolen bases.
