On Tuesday, September 24, 2023, I was placed on paid administrative leave.  This episode is a very brief remembrance of those terrible 10 weeks.  Yes!  10 weeks of paid administrative leave. The most challenging thing about being placed on paid administrative leave is the pain my wife and our daughter (who was a senior at the time) endured.  My wife helped run the rehearsals.  I was not allowed to attend any of the performances.  There is more to the story than in the episode.  Yet, I want to be considerate of your time.  What I will say is.... I appreciate the support I received at that time and to this day.  For people to not give up on me is humbling.  I will continue to earn you trust and respect.  You help me live a righteous life!  There are people "today" who are being attacked really because of who they are and what they represent.  There is little doubt in my mind that my Christianity and Conservativism plays a role in me getting into "trouble."  I see and hear what other high school band directors do with their students and it certainly looks similar to my actions.  I equate what happened to me to this week (September 18, 2023).  Howard Stern saying, "I am f___ing woke" and that gives him safety in this woke time compared to Russell Brand who is speaking out against the government and pharmaceutical companies and now - something that allegedly happened over a decade ago is being brought up and he could face being arrested.  Hope to see you there:  The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth | Conducting My Life
