After seeing how residents were affected by the 2014 floods in BiH, Sanela Ovnovic took initiative by starting a GoFundMe page and even personally visited a family in Maglaj to distribute donations. On the plane ride back to Chicago, she decided to start a FB group called Helping Hearts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which later turned into her nonprofit organization.
