Zafrey Elektra is a soldier of the Atoll. He is the son of an invasive hive that jumps from planet to planet to harvest water for their sea. Whole worlds hear the Atolla Medusa's song when they come, and whole worlds shrivel in their wake. But young Zafrey has been collecting parts in the shadows... He's been building a body to escape the song. Today's the day he finally walks. But how's a young jelly going to survive, so far from their sea?
