Notably, his achievements include a fourth-place finish in the 200m freestyle in Rio, a remarkable fifth-place ranking in Reykjavik, and a commendable seventh-place performance at the London (2012) Paralympic Games.While pursuing his education, Matija enrolled in Communication Studies, specializing in public relations, media relations, communications, and business development. This diverse skill set eventually led him to Bonn, Germany, where he currently serves as the Brand Coordinator for the International Paralympic Committee. Here, Matija expertly navigates sports marketing, internal communications, and project management, leaving an indelible mark on the Paralympic movement.Despite enduring numerous surgeries, with nine operations in total, Matija's unwavering determination and love for sports continue to shine through.
