Book Three, Chapter Seventeen: The party confronts Moteng, purported leader of the pirates currently harassing the village of Hu Ting. Courin inspects his catamaran for signs of sabotage, and Hana decides it's time to run some pirates out of her town with an old sailor's tale. The party investigates the cult-like monks while Mariposa recovers from her recent traumas.
