Everything I need to hear to remind me of the truth

Although you might be suffering from addictions, this show has been a real help in my faith. Religion (or any belief system) has a tendency to grow hypocritical behaviors in people despite of good intentions. Therefore, we need to counter this culture by being more truthful. Christianity needs more brutally honest people like this.

This show presents an open honest conversation about sex. This show offers me so much encouragement and comfort to help me in my struggles with intimacy, lust and codependency. Do not be distracted by the fairly low audio quality of this recording. I fall right in the category of the issues described and this podcast dramatically helped me finding motivation, tools and strategies to address my "bad dog", as he describes it. I strongly recommend you to try it if you belong to Sex Anonymous, wether you attend meetings or not.

This is a good down to earth podcast for Christians who struggle with sexual addiction. I like the music this podcaster includes. Good tips and good observations.

Only a few times in my life have I encountered an individual more arrogant than this self-appointed sex cad. His stream of consciousness style is appropriate for a guy who says whatever comes into his mind. If you are given to cookie cutter recovery and one size fits all restoration, you will appreciate this Nazi's approach to humanity. Whatever you do, don't engage him via email or the telephone. He has scary obsessive tendencies.

Russ throws it all out there with little regard for the over-sensitive types. This podcast is authentic and inspiring. Russ communicates in a very conversational manner so that you feel like you he is having a talk with you directly. Full of truth and application. Highly recommended.

A big thank you to Russ Shaw for putting on this podcast. He gets to the heart of the battle with lust. Russ is very humble about his own failings. I don't always agree 100% with everything he says but I respect his heart for what he states. This podcast has helped convict me on a number of occasions.

This guy is about taking off the MASK, and getting below the surface. Very real, honest, and full of hope. The morality of a generation is at stake and it is encouraging to hear someone talking honestly about this silent pandemic.

I have been listening to Russ for a few weeks. I am tired of his regular diatribes against religion. I am not here to defend religion. Far from it, but I come here to hear a message of recovery, not to hear you rehash some issue that you need to resolve. Just my thoughts. RT

Russ is a christian, but is well aware of contradictions and problems in the western church. He's not perfect, and doesn't claim to be, but I think he does a remarkable job of producing inspiring stuff to listen to. He doesn't really rail against homosexuality either, he is rather magnimonious compared to most, saying that the moral decay in America is due to no fault divorce rather than homosexuality. Mentions of homosexuality in fact are far and few between in his podcasts and his way of talking about such things are not the typical characterstic you might expect from many ministers. No matter what you say however, you will be labeled homophobic if you believe homosexuality is wrong in any way. I think the previous reviewer says Russ is an adulterer and porn addict, well he has had a hard time overcoming all that as many people do, but have you ever heard of gay adulterers ? adultury and porn addiction are not really things that the gay community concerns itself with from what I can see.

A good podcast, put out by a guy who's been there. As with all podcast advice, your mileage may vary, but Russ has a good solid perspective.

This guy goes on to spill his guts how he is porn addict, adulterer and chronic liar and then goes to denounce homosexuality. Shaw, WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ANYONE???!! There are many gay and lesbian couples are into honest, loving, MONOGAMOUS relationships and don't judge you and your filthy past! Who in the HELL are you to judge THEM! GOD and JESUS love EVERYONE. Get off of your soap box and FIX yourself and help those who WANT IT. DO NOT JUDGE ANYONE LIVING AN HONEST AND LOVING LIFESTYLE REGARDLESS OF WHO THEY LOVE, YOU PHONY!

This show is absolutely the best show that is available for people looking to kick their addiction to porn. Russ tells it like it is and isn't afraid to bring up things that people are afraid to talk or think about. Helped changed my life.
