Each year Bangkok is host to the Prince Mahidol Award Conference known as PMAC, an international conference focusing on policy related health issues. The theme of the 2020 conference was accelerating progress towards universal health coverage, and participants included TALA AL-ROUSAN and ANA SANTOS. TALA, a Jordanian doctor, lives and works in San Diego, California, and is committed to the welfare of refugees, more than half a million of whom are hosted by Jordan. ANA is a journalist in the Philippines with a particular interest in reproductive rights.
