Identity matters: It shapes the way we view the world, how the world views us and the experiences that result from them. But we don’t just have one identity. We’ve got several interacting at the same time! Race, ethnicity, gender & sexuality, and a whole host of other identities, come together to inform who we are and how we interact in the world. It’s important to discuss, interrogate and celebrate these identities and how our identities come to be and make us the beautiful people we are.
So buckle in and join the UNCW Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion in a conversation on these topics and so much more with it’s three identity spaces: The Upperman African American Cultural Center, The Mohin-Scholz LGBTQIA Resource Office, and Centro Hispano. Pull up and meet us…At The Intersection.
A part of the 25th (Upperman) 15th (Centro) and 10th (The Mo') anniversary celebrations in the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion!
