Clint Davis LPC and Uriah Oxford Christian counselor and former clergy talk about the need of the church to integrate mental health in order to avoid and recover from religious abuse. In 2021 the statistics for mental health issues and trauma in American congregations are at an unmanageable level. Without proper training and resources the fear is that more will walk away from church altogether.
