HollowLight: The Black Blood of a Fallen God

Audio Codex III

Beneath the surface of Ashenreach, something spreads.

Hollow Light — a black, viscous radiance that bled from the corpse of a dying god, the Starfall Leviathan. It does not simply exist.

It burrows.

It seeps.

It infects.

It twists creatures. It reshapes men. It offers power in exchange for something deeper than flesh.

Those who drink from it are changed.

Some awaken arcane abilities.

Some descend into violence.

Some become the Hollowed — empty, devoted, and bound to its corruption.

Across Ashenreach, wells have been dug to reach it. Sacred sites. Ritual grounds. Places where Hollow Light is harvested, worshipped, and consumed.

And each well is guarded.

Not by design—

but by transformation.

Creatures and people alike are claimed by the Light, reshaped into monstrous sentinels that protect its source. To approach a well is to face what Hollow Light makes of those who surrender to it.

But Hollow Light is not just a force of destruction.

It is temptation.

It offers strength. Vision. Power beyond steel.

Even the Ashenborne Knight drinks from it in battle—knowing every use brings him closer to becoming what he hunts.

This is the story of Hollow Light — its origin, its corruption, and its role in shaping the broken world of Ashenreach.
