"Jean Rim is a New York based artist whose work explores personal memories through an abstract process of layering. Her life experiences as a healer and her travels embody her work as a painter, photographer and performer. Solo exhibitions include “Celebrating 31” at Lucky Strike Gallery in NY, “Mermaid Tales" at Corner Art Space in South Korea, “The Whale in the Room” at Corner Art Space and “Rotating Blades of Resurrection and Death” at Space Hamilton in South Korea. She has had group exhibitions at spaces such as: The Painting Center in New York, Trestle Gallery in Brooklyn, The Yard in Brooklyn, SEE Exhibition Space in LIC and Greepoint Gallery in Brooklyn, among others. She graduated with a BFA from Parson’s School of Design in 1997. She currently works in the Brooklyn, NY and exhibits in South Korea and the United States. All images courtesy of the artist "
