On the debut episode of around the pulpit John sits down with Harley Dakin of the Everal's Chapel Preservation Society located in Newcomerstown Ohio. We get the privilege of hearing a story about the history of an old chapel church built and formed by a family of settlers from England in rural Ohio. We also learn about how decades later a small group of community members got together to save the church from what could have been a very disastrous fate. We recorded this story on location and with these old wooden churches it can be met with some bouncing audio which we knew going in could be the case but it was a must for us to do this episode at the actual church in order to properly showcase their story. So with echo and occasional sounds of the furnace until we invite you the listener to join us for an amazing historic journey in storytelling fashion that will entertain and inspire you to step up in faith and find the kingdom goal God has for you.
