Who is Jesus? God? Man? God-man? When John introduces the &ldquo;logos&rdquo; (the &ldquo;word&rdquo;) in John 

, he mentions that the Logos was in the beginning with God...and now in verse 14 he tells us that the logos &ldquo;became&rdquo; something. This shocking statement brings with it a bunch of questions, and perhaps the best way to approach understanding Jesus is to take it nice and slow, and let Scripture inform our understanding more than the professional theologians. The Wedding is Coming! (Ep. 9)

Expect to be challenged, expect to disagree from time to time (or more frequently!), expect to learn here and there, and expect teaching that isn't under pressure to toe a party line. There is only one Body of Christ, and Jesus calls us to love and bear with one another--not war with one another over doctrines and associations and denominations and brands.
The Apostle's Mailbox is a podcast for challenging the church of Jesus Christ towards unity, through topical addresses and expository teaching from an ex-pastor with a desire to see the Bride of Christ healthy and ready for the coming of the groom. My background is broadly evangelical, but I have a bent towards learning and growth rather than defending the traditions of one segment of the global body of Christ--I'd rather have the Spirit of God use the Word of God to change my understanding than remain stagnant in a mistaken belief.
