What is Christianity "about"? Is it a theory of the right thoughts to hold and actions to perform in order to make us acceptable to God? Or is it something else? Many modern Christians would say that the answer to that question is "the Gospel." But what does that even mean? In today's episode, we consider the Apostle Paul's description of this good news in 2 Corinthians 

-21, and we are challenged to come back to that Good News as the foundation of our understanding of life.

Expect to be challenged, expect to disagree from time to time (or more frequently!), expect to learn here and there, and expect teaching that isn't under pressure to toe a party line. There is only one Body of Christ, and Jesus calls us to love and bear with one another--not war with one another over doctrines and associations and denominations and brands.
The Apostle's Mailbox is a podcast for challenging the church of Jesus Christ towards unity, through topical addresses and expository teaching from an ex-pastor with a desire to see the Bride of Christ healthy and ready for the coming of the groom. My background is broadly evangelical, but I have a bent towards learning and growth rather than defending the traditions of one segment of the global body of Christ--I'd rather have the Spirit of God use the Word of God to change my understanding than remain stagnant in a mistaken belief.
