If you’re looking for a momentous race to run or you want increased diversity and representation in running, listen to this episode about the Selma to Montgomery Relayand Bike Ride. Sarah and co-host Ellison talk (and shed a few tears) with the race director and two relay participants about: -the origin of the relay that retraces the path civil rights champions tread in 1965; -the significance of having a minority majority running event; -how folks “party with a purpose” before and after the 51-mile event; -relay race logistics; and,-what it was like to run across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Before the first guest joins around 7:00, Ellison raves about a collection of interconnected short stories she recently enjoyed.
