Aniki finds an interesting yet ecchi and transgressive take on your typical shounen with The Idaten Deities Only Know Peace. Following both a group of gods, or Idaten, and a nation run by demons, this series explores alternative ideas on what it means to be a super powered creature who must protect humanity and pushes the limits of standard shounen tropes. The amount of scheming and counter-scheming is refreshing for a series that might also be titled “Demons and the Gods Who Punch Them.” Be warned though, this series is not for kids or families.
