Pete Schmitt was raised in an Old Colony Russian Mennonite community. At 16, he decided to leave the church. After getting involved in drugs and other destructive behaviors, Pete found himself in prison for accidentally taking another person’s life. All throughout this time, he was ignoring God’s attempts to get his attention. It was only after spending time in prison that Pete finally came back to Christianity and found healing for the pain and evil that had been controlling his life.
