I'm releasing a series of short episodes showcasing stories from my Scent*Tattoo project. The project aims to connect humans through our sense of smell. I interview people and ask them to share a deeply emotional and personal scent memory, and then I document the story on my website scenttattoo.com. This episode is yet another reading of one of the scent tattoos, however it's a little different because this story comes from the perspective of someone living with smell loss, which means she had to access the scent memory from a deeper mental reserve. As with all the stories, I hope you connect with this one in some small way - especially if you, yourself, are living with smell loss and maybe haven’t thought about tapping into your own scent memory reserves. And if you can smell, I hope it gives you another perspective.
