A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) letter is an important document for students who wish to study in the United Kingdom (UK). The CAS letter is issued by the UK university or college where the student has been accepted to study and serves as proof that the student has been accepted to a course of study in the UK.

What information does the CAS letter list?

A CAS letter typically includes the following information:

The student's name

The name of the UK university or college where the student has been accepted to study

The course of study the student has been accepted to

The start and end date of the course

The Tier 4 visa category under which the student will be applying (e.g. Tier 4 (General) student)

The amount of money the student must have in their account to cover their tuition fees and living expenses

A unique reference number (CAS number) which is used when applying for a Tier 4 visa.

How to Apply for a CAS Letter
